After and extensive analysis of the Olive Oil production and Industry in Italy, the project focuses on its waste and residues. Tons and tons of olive pomace are thrown away every year. The process of transforming it in a new sustainable material ennobles the raw waste, by exploiting its full potential and creating a tableware collection.

Firstly, the olive pomace is dehydrated and dried out of the last oil residue. After the drying process, the olive pomace can achieve a sand consistency that allows it to be pressed into the silicon mould.

It is then mixed with natural glues and bio resin to make it stiff and waterproof. Italians, while eating, traditionally say “passami l’olio”. This sentence resembles sharing when eating with friends and family and Italian traditions, one of the main reason for design of the kitchen collection.
